The speaker of parliament, Khadija Ali Turkmani, confirmed on Friday that the Baghdad summit will correct the course of the map of the Middle East.
"The summit in Baghdad is a confirmation of Iraq's return to its Arab embrace and its leading and pivotal role in the region," the Turkmen said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
"While we welcome our guests from neighboring neighboring parliaments to be Baghdad, their brothers and friends gather at one table in a country where generosity is known and today it is a world of Islam, safety and coexistence," she said.
"This summit will discuss large files, both economic and security, but the importance of this summit lies in the fact that it brings together Arab and regional countries, some of which face challenges and some of them intersect with others and to amend the so-called route of the map of the Middle East and these countries contribute to it."
"Iraq will play a pivotal role in bringing the views closer and to play a role in resolving conflicts."
