The strategic expert, Al-Hashemi, Tuesday, expressed the intention of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to visit Germany, France and America next week, indicating that Abdul-Mahdi will discuss in Washington to exclude Iraq from the import of Iranian gas in the coming period.
"Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi plans to visit Germany, France and the United States next week to discuss the development of relations and the war on terror," al-Hashemi told the news agency.
"The prime minister will discuss with the US administration the extension of Iraq's exemption from sanctions against Iran for several months to import gas for the operation of power plants in Iraq," he said.
"The region is in a new crisis with increasing US sanctions against Iran and Tehran and Iraq are taking more serious positions to resolve crises without harming their interests," he said.
