North Korea lays off its main negotiator with the United States

Kim Yong-chul, vice-chairman of the North Korean Workers' Party (CPC) Central Committee responsible for relations with South Korea and the United States, was sacked by Yonhap on Wednesday.
The South Korean agency did not mention the reason for the dismissal, saying only that the news was obtained from an official in the South Korean parliament.
Kim Yong-chul heads the North Korean Workers' Party, which develops contacts with South Korea and the United States.
