    The Ministry of Electricity revealed on Monday that it has reached advanced stages of talks with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to activate the joint electrical connection. The volume of the increase in energy production for this year is estimated at 15% compared to last year.

"
    He added that "the ministry has also taken on the development of the reality of the network in terms of transmission lines and distribution networks, which will contribute to increase the reliability of the electricity network throughout the country," noting that Iraq and the result of the war with the "da'ash" criminal, has witnessed sabotage in the infrastructure within the provinces Edited.
    Al-Khatib said that the ministry had to drain its reserves of spare materials and funds to rehabilitate the network there and to provide electricity to the network, pointing out that his ministry had hoped that sufficient funds would be allocated within the reconstruction budget to improve electricity. This sector as soon as possible, stressing that there is an improvement this summer and the government taking its role during the short period to reach higher yields of energy and better processing.
    On the discussions with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to implement the project of electric linkage, he explained that this issue takes advanced dimensions of the talks because the purpose of linking with neighboring countries will contribute to creating a promising market among all countries of the region and in two ways, short and come to Iraq to meet demand on the need, On the medium and long term will contribute to creating a promising market for electricity serving the economies of all participating countries.
