A member of the House of Representatives Iqbal Abdul Hussein, on Wednesday, that the parliament will work to pass important laws to benefit the workers during the next phase, noting that the Council is considering proposals to raise wages of workers to half a million dinars.
"The parliament has already voted on the Labor Law No. 37 of 2015, which contains many guarantees for workers, but its implementation is still very limited by some departments in the public and private sectors," Abdul Hussein al-Tahani said in a statement. "He said.
She added that "the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 413 considered the minimum wage of workers 350 thousand dinars," asserting that "this amount barely fill the working worker in light of the high cost of living and difficult economic conditions suffered by this segment."
Abdel Hussein pointed out that "the House of Representatives will discuss the proposals submitted by representatives of trade unions to raise the wages of workers to 500 thousand dinars, and work to provide occupational safety and equipment and comprehensive risk allocations,".
She explained that "some circles deny the rights of these workers, especially in the cleaning sector, whose salaries are delayed for more than two months," calling on those departments to "resolve this issue as soon as possible and pay the salaries of this segment monthly." Ending / 25
