According to the report, Russia bought 55.3 tons of gold and thus the size of the total gold reserves in the country reached more than 2168 tons. In 2018 Russia bought 274.3 tons of gold.
In the first quarter of this year, the countries supplied their reserves with 145.5 tons of gold, an increase of 68% over the same period last year.
The report added that Kazakhstan, Turkey and India are among the buyers of gold this year, as China, Ecuador, Qatar and Colombia renewed their reserves.
