The General Authority of Customs announced on Thursday that the customs center of Umm Qasr al-Shamali in the province of Basra recorded on Wednesday, 2019/5/1, the highest revenue achieved in a customs port of Iraqi customs outlets.
"The revenues of the northern port of Umm Qasr yesterday exceeded two billion dinars, which is recorded for the first time as a daily income for a customs center over the history of customs centers in Iraq," the authority said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
"This achievement comes after the directives of the General Administration of Customs to combat corruption and address cases of manipulation and violations to avoid paying customs duties, as well as facilitating the completion of customs transactions, which encouraged traders to increase imports of goods and goods, which was positively reflected in the high revenues of all customs centers." / H
