    Amplify the Fund for Veterans' Assistance!
    The Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance (FVA) is participating in Amplify Austin, a 24-hour online giving campaign in the Austin area. The campaign began Thursday, March 20, and it will end at 6pm on Friday, March 21. Though the campaign ends soon, you can easily donate through the FVA's Amplify profile page, HERE. Amplify Austin is your day to celebrate and support the FVA! Help us reach our goal of raising $114,500 - $1 for every Veteran living in Greater Austin!

    Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument Dedication
    Forty-one years to the day after the last American troops were in Vietnam, the state of Texas will welcome its Vietnam Veterans home as the Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument is dedicated on March 29. The date has been officially designated as “Texas Vietnam Veterans Day” by the Texas legislature.
     
    The Texas Vietnam Heroes Exhibit will be displayed for the public in the Lower Rotunda of the Capitol, and the grounds will include Vietnam-era military equipment and educational exhibits on display throughout the day.

    The Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument dedication ceremony will occur on March 29 at 10 a.m. The Saturday ceremony and family-friendly “Welcome Home Fair” saluting our state’s Vietnam Veterans at the State Capitol is free and open to the public.

    Rock your Camo 5K and Cookie Pack
    At Camp Mabry hundreds of people laced up their shoes and boots to participate in the Rock Your Camo 5K/Fun Run. The Texas Veterans Commission hosted the event in honor of Women Veterans month. Approximately 700 people joined in on the festivities. After the run, guests were treated to visits from Kevin Bacon and Senator Leticia Van de Putte, and the Girl Scouts were in attendance to help send out cookies to the troops!

    TVC Veteran Entrepreneur Program hosts next installment of Business Seminar Series
    On April 12 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, the Texas Veterans Commission Entrepreneur Program (VEP) will continue its new business-focused Seminar Series at TriPoint, located at 3233 North St. Mary's Street, San Antonio, TX 78212. The VEP seminars include a variety of representatives who will introduce Veteran Entrepreneurs and potential Veteran entrepreneurs to a wealth of information.

    New Veterans game "On the Money" in stores now
    Texas Lottery retailers have begun selling On the Money, a new scratch-off game benefeting Texas Veterans. Part of the proceeds support the Fund for Veterans' Assistance (FVA), which awards reimbursement grants to eligible charitable organizations, local government agencies, and Veterans Service Organizations that provide direct services to Texas Veterans and their families.
