The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on Friday confirmed its efforts to work with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) to ensure the formation of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and then the completion of the federal government.
A member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Ashwaq al-Jaf, said in a statement to Al-Arabi al-Jadid newspaper, which was read by Mawazin News, that "the talks between the Kurdish parties for the formation of the Kurdistan Regional Government have positive results and related to the electoral entitlements, The first is the KDP, but of course the new results will have a good effect on the positions of the Kurdish parties in Baghdad, completing the government and ending the debate on the Justice Ministry. "
"The remaining positions are a quota for the Kurds in Baghdad, and will end in the coming days or weeks, but we want these positions to be the beginning of the unity of the Kurdish row," criticizing the "government delay by Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi."
She pointed out that "the formation of the government does not depend on the Ministry of Justice, there are three ministries are vacant," asserting that "the two parties, the National Union and the Democratic Kurdistan are seeking to ensure the formation of the government of the Territory first."
