    Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday denounced the sabotage of four ships in the territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates. 
    "Iraq condemns and strongly condemns the attacks on four vessels of subversive operations in the territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates," the ministry said in a statement received by Mawazine News. "The solidarity with the brothers in the UAE against Challenges, and to address all attempts to destabilize their security, stability and the safety of their citizens. " 
    "Iraq sees what these tankers have been exposed to as a threat to the security of the whole Gulf, because the insecurity in the region affects all countries in the region," she said, stressing "the importance of concerted efforts to counter any threat, "He said.  
    The ministry called on "countries of the region and the international community to pursue a policy of calm and joint cooperation to contribute effectively to ensuring the safety of tankers and the movement of navigation in the Gulf region to affect the interests of the countries of the region and the international trade movement."

    {Baghdad: Al Furat News} Iraq expressed its condemnation and strongly condemned the attacks on four vessels of sabotage operations in the territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates.
    "We affirm our solidarity with our brothers in the UAE in facing the challenges and confronting all attempts to destabilize their security, stability and the safety of their citizens," a statement from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said. 
    The statement added that "Iraq believes that the damage suffered by these tankers threatens the security of the entire Gulf because the insecurity in the region affects all the countries of the region. We therefore stress the importance of concerted efforts to confront any threat and take measures to preserve the security and stability of this region, . 
    "We also call on the countries of the region and the international community to pursue a policy of calm and joint cooperation to contribute effectively to ensuring the safety of tankers and the movement of navigation in the Gulf region to affect the interests of the countries of the region and the international trade movement."
    On Sunday, four merchant ships were "sabotaged" off the coast of the UAE. The attack near the port of Fujairah was off the Strait of Hormuz, but there were no casualties. 
    No details of the incident were released. 
    The UAE Foreign Ministry said it was investigating the incident, but rejected media reports it described as "baseless" about explosions at the port of Fujairah, asserting that operations at the port were normal. 
    Two Saudi carriers were on their way to cross the Gulf in the UAE's economic waters near the emirate of Fujairah, Saudi Arabia's official news agency quoted Khalid al-Falih, the energy minister, as saying on Monday. 
    "One of them was on its way to load Saudi oil from Ras Tanura port and then go to the United States to supply Saudi Aramco customers," the minister said in a statement.
    "There was no loss of life or fuel leakage in the attack, while the two vessels were badly damaged," he said. 
    A Norwegian shipping company announced that one of its vessels had been sabotaged in the incident, noting that "an unidentified object caused the most recent gap in its tanker."
