Integrity arrests suspects who exploit land and real estate belonging to the state in Kirkuk and Muthanna
The investigations department of the Integrity Commission on Wednesday arrested five accused of "exploiting" state-owned land in the provinces of Kirkuk and Muthanna.
The Department said in a statement that "the investigation office of the Commission in the province of Kirkuk carried out a process of arrest against two accused of taking advantage of property belonging to the Directorate of the Municipality of the province without right through the establishment of foundations and supports construction; for the purpose of the construction of residential houses on the property of more than three acres "He said.
The department added that "investigations led the office to the collusion of the accused with a number of municipal staff and the removal of abuses in the province; to overlook the exploitation of the property valued at three billion dinars."
In a related context, the Department pointed out that "the staff of the investigation office of the Commission in the province of Muthanna arrested three suspects involved in digging and lifting the articles of spice and calcareous stone from land belonging to the state in one of the districts without a contract to allow this."
"The first defendant raised the substance of the spice with an area of 50 thousand square meters, while the other defendants raised the limestone substance with an area of five thousand square meters, and the tools and tools used in the excavation were seized."
The Department referred to "the organization of the two institutions of the seizure of fundamentalists and the apprehensions of the seized, and they were brought with the accused to the judicial authorities in order to take appropriate legal action against them."
