Parliamentary finance calls for alternative ways to trade in Iraq
The Parliamentary Finance Committee called on the Ministry of Transport to take precautionary measures to protect Iraqi ports and ensure the safety of the Iraqi navy fleet for fear of escalation of the conflict in the region.
The committee also called on the ministry to find alternative ways to secure Iraqi trade in anticipation of a war clash between the United States and Iran, pointing out that "the Gulf ports face an uncertain fate, while the countries in the Gulf basin put their alternative plans in anticipation of the consequences of War operations that are imminent and threaten the entire region. "
"The ministry should look for alternative plans in the event of any military confrontation to ensure the continuity of the flow of necessary goods through alternative ports, and transport them by road to secure the movement of Iraqi trade, safety and flexibility."
