The deputies also addressed questions and queries to the Minister and the advanced cadres on the reality of electricity and energy in the country and the problems and obstacles faced by this sector.
The questions touched on the problems of production and distribution, the ministry's plan to save energy, fill the deficit, provide fuel for power plants, the issue of importing energy from Iran and finding alternatives in the event of any escalation or conflict between Iran and the United States.
The subject of contracts of collection and maintenance and the ministry's mandate in structuring the distribution of the system of collection and processing of electricity in the Iraqi provinces.
The issue of rehabilitation of electric stations in the provinces of Anbar, Diyala and Salah al-Din with a number of stations outside the capital Baghdad was asked to split the contract of rehabilitation to several small contracts in order to provide the required funds instead of making them in one contract with high cost delay implementation and rehabilitation.
MP Hilbousi asked the head of the committee of the Minister of Electricity and advanced cadres to form a crisis cell to find solutions to the obstacles to the work of the ministry in order to overcome them as soon as possible in the interest of the citizen and ensure the provision of electricity during the summer.
