    Information / follow up ..
The Chinese Aviation Industry Association has extended its support to 13 Chinese airlines seeking compensation from the US Boeing Company after it prevented flights of the Boeing 737 Max 8 models.
The China Air Transport Association said in a statement on Friday that delays in delivery of aircraft caused "serious damage" to companies.
It estimated its losses at about 4 billion yuan (580 million dollars) if the planes stay on the ground until the end of June.
The group said it would "actively support and coordinate among member companies to carry out compensation work."
Chinese airlines have 96 Max aircraft in their fleet, and more than 30 aircraft are scheduled to be delivered this year
