A member of the Foreign Relations Committee Naim al-Aboudi said on Saturday that important international parties, as well as neighboring countries, believe in Iraq's ability to mediate between America and Iran in light of the recent escalation.
"Iraq is capable of playing a pivotal role in the crisis between Tehran and Washington because of its position and the political situation of opening up others to Iraq, although there are those within Iraq who underestimate this," Al-Abboudi said in a press statement.
