An Iraqi government source said Monday that an Iraqi delegation arrived in the Lebanese capital Beirut to return the former governor of Kirkuk, Necmettin Karim.

The source said, according to "Russia today," that "a delegation from the recovery department in the Integrity Commission arrived today to Beirut to recover Karim," noting that "the delegation carries the mandate of the Iraqi government and a certified from the Foreign Ministry to return Karim to Baghdad."

According to the source, "Karim will be returned to Baghdad in the coming hours."

The Lebanese authorities stopped in Beirut last Tuesday, Najmuddin Karim, the former governor of Kirkuk, and the private doctor of Iraqi President Jalal Talabani.

Karim then confirmed that he is free in the Lebanese capital of Beirut and that he will be in Erbil soon.
