Saleh confirms to Erdogan the rejection of any military action beyond the Iraqi border[/rtl]

(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) President of the Republic Barham Salih, on Tuesday, the presidential palace in Istanbul, a round of talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The two presidents discussed the recent developments in the region and stressed the importance of cooperation and the adoption of a constructive dialogue between all parties to reach political solutions to the current crises and avoid the language of threats and provocation in order to achieve security and economic stability.
"The talks also dealt with reviewing the relations between the two countries and the need to strengthen them so as to widen the horizons of joint cooperation," the statement added.
President Saleh stressed "the need to protect Iraqi sovereignty and reject any unilateral military action beyond the Iraqi borders," noting that "ensuring joint security comes through coordination between the two countries and the countries of the region."
The talks were attended by the foreign ministers of the two countries, national security adviser Faleh al-Fayadh and Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan.
