    In a new step on the path of escalation between Iran and the United States, the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard General Hussein Salami said his country has a sophisticated missile system to strike targets moving at sea accurately.
    In a speech to a crowd of university students in Tehran, General Salami stressed that his country "has become a major force that will not be defeated because it has tried all the scenarios." He said that the current escalation is the last stage of confrontation with America. 
    The comments came as US military adviser John Bolton announced that the attack on tankers off the coast of the UAE was a naval mine planted by Iran, which the Iranian Foreign Ministry denied.
    Military capabilities 
    Commenting on Salami's statements, military journalist Mehdi Bakhtiari said the general was talking about the Gulf of Persia, Iran's first ballistic missile in Iran.
    Bakhtiari said in an interview to Al Jazeera Net that the missile "flour" and "guided" can hit a target of the sea from a distance of three hundred kilometers, adding that "the most cruise missiles are cruise, while the Gulf of Persia Balseti, and there are very few countries The world has this type of missile. "
    He pointed out that the missile has been tested successfully on a small target compared to US aircraft carriers, stressing that what General Salami revealed is part of the Iranian naval military capabilities.
    He explained that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps - according to the division of tasks and responsibilities - took the task of securing the security of the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz on their own, and possesses many of the appropriate weapons for this purpose, including cruise missiles and ballistic missiles and rapid buoys and rocket launchers, and other psychological warfare 
    In the same context, Military expert Hussein Delerian confirmed that the Revolutionary Guard had, for the first time in 12 years, tested the ballistic missile system of Gulf of Persia, successfully hitting a mobile-sized one-third of a US aircraft carrier.
    He pointed out that the development of this missile led in the first phase to produce a modern version of the fourth generation of missiles, "Fateh 110" under the title of the "Persian Gulf-S" and later led to the production of the "Hormuz-2".
    Delirian stressed that Iran and America are practicing psychological warfare, and that sending the US aircraft carrier to the region was not new. It was based on a prior program, but Washington exploited it in the context of its psychological war against Iran.
    He added that Iran has many tools to practice psychological warfare against America, including what declared by General Salami, stressing that military capabilities are the best that can be used in the framework of psychological operations against the enemy.
    Military Appointments 
    In the meantime, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei issued two resolutions appointing the current commander-in-chief of the army, General Abdul Rahim Mousavi, as Commander of Khatam Al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters and appointing Brigadier General Ali Reza Sabbahi as Commander of the Air Defense Forces of the Iranian Army.
    The latest military appointments are the second in about a month, coinciding with the recent US escalation and Washington sending military reinforcements to the Middle East for what it called "deterrence of the Iranian threat."
    The Iranian leader appointed General Hussein Salami, commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guard, replacing General Mohammad Ali Jafari, after the United States classified the Revolutionary Guards as a "terrorist organization."
