    DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Mohammed al-Halbusi on Wednesday discussed with Omani Foreign Minister Yousuf bin Alawi the bilateral relations between the two countries as well as the tensions in the region and means of resolving them.
    "The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohammed Al Halbusi, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman (Yousuf bin Alawi Bin Abdullah) and the accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and means of supporting them, Common ".
    He added that "Halaboussi welcomed the decision of the Sultanate of Oman to open its embassy in[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , considering that this is a positive step to develop relations between the two peoples in the framework of mutual interests."
    "The two sides discussed during the meeting the issues and developments in the region, the most important challenges and risks of continuing tensions and crises, stressing the need to find approaches to calm, maintain stability and work on joint coordination on regional issues."
    He praised the role of the Sultanate of Oman and its policy of calm, praising the development of relations between the two countries at the level of government and parliament.
