The deputy of the National Wisdom Movement, Mohamed Elkash, on Saturday called on the Supreme Judicial Council to set up a special court on corruption issues along the lines of the Supreme Criminal Court that tried Saddam and his aides.
"He calls on the Supreme Judicial Council to set up a special court on corruption cases like the Supreme Criminal Court, which tried Saddam and his aides to speed up and resolve thousands of files related to corruption," Al-Wakash said in a statement received by Al-Furat News.
He called on the House of Representatives to "host the President of the Supreme Council for the fight against corruption and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Attorney General and the heads of the Commission of Integrity and the Office of Financial Supervision in public session and broadcast directly through satellite channels to citizens to find out who is failing in resolving thousands of cases related to corruption since 2003 to the present day This".
He also called on the Higher Judicial Council to "transfer the trial sessions to the corrupt people through satellite channels for the benefit of the people of our people."
