    This came during a meeting with a number of leaders of political blocs and heads of parliamentary committees, in his office in Baghdad, on Saturday, representatives of the States members of the Security Council in the first visit to Iraq. 
    "At the outset of the meeting, Halaboussi welcomed the visiting delegation and expressed his appreciation for this visit, which shows the support of the UN Security Council and its interest in Iraq, after the Iraqis achieved their victory over terrorism on behalf of the world," the statement said. 
    During the meeting, Al Halbusi expressed "Iraq's appreciation for the efforts of the international community, which has provided support to the Iraqi people both in its war on terrorism or in the aid of the file of displacement and the restoration of stability, hoping to continue support and fulfill international obligations towards Iraq."
    The statement added that "Halabousi reviewed during the meeting the efforts of the House of Representatives in the adoption of important laws, which affect the lives of citizens," stressing that "the Council looks forward to enact laws that reflect positively on the lives of citizens, through reform programs and fight corruption and reduce poverty and give the disadvantaged classes greater care, As well as to address the consequences of terrorism. " 
    "The meeting also reviewed the latest developments in the international and regional situation, the crises in the region and the need for joint action to end these tensions and maintain regional stability through constructive dialogue and peaceful means aimed at."
    For their part, the members of the Security Council congratulated the Iraqis for their victory over terrorism, describing their visit as historic and a clear sign of support for Iraq's unity, sovereignty and efforts in restoring stability and development. The visiting delegation commended the important role of the House of Representatives in the political process in Iraq, To resolve the crises of the region and to open up to the Arab and international environment.
