    Halaboussi, according to a statement by his office, expressed his appreciation for the visit, which shows the support of the UN Security Council and its interest in Iraq, after the Iraqis achieved their victory on terrorism on behalf of the world. 

    He expressed [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] appreciation for the efforts of the international community, which provided support to the Iraqi people both in its war on terror and in assisting in the file of displacement and the restoration of stability, in the hope of continued support and fulfillment of international obligations towards Iraq.

    Halabousi reviewed the efforts of the House of Representatives to pass important laws affecting the lives of citizens, stressing that the Council looks forward to legislating laws that positively affect the lives of citizens through reform programs, combating corruption, reducing poverty and giving the deprived classes greater care, as well as addressing the consequences of terrorism. 

    The meeting also reviewed the latest developments in the international and regional situation, the crises in the region and the need for joint action to end these tensions and maintain regional stability through constructive dialogue and peaceful means. 

    For their part, the members of the Security Council congratulated the Iraqis for their victory over terrorism, describing their visit as historic, and a clear signal of support for [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] unity and sovereignty and for its efforts to restore stability and development.

    The visiting delegation praised the important role of the House of Representatives in the political process in Iraq and the diplomatic and parliamentary efforts in resolving the crises of the region and opening up to the Arab and international environment.
