The US Congress has asked Facebook to stop its Libra digital development plans immediately, as well as the digital portfolio Calibera, so that there is time to investigate the potential risks it poses to the global financial system.
The Financial Services Committee of the House of Representatives said in a letter to Facebook that it wants to study the risks related to cybersecurity, global financial markets and national security concerns.
