A member of the Islamic Dawa Party, on Sunday, the presence of 3 lobbies affected the vote at the party conference, returned the election of Nuri al-Maliki as Secretary-General of the party coup.
The sources said within the conference "competing lists on the party's Shura, consisting of about fifty members, and the task of selecting the leadership; the first is the axis of al-Maliki, and includes 31 candidates, and devoid of all the names of the old leadership dissolved in the conference, except Maliki himself. Second axis of command (33 candidates), including members of the previous leadership, and Maliki himself.
For his part, denied a member of the Dawa Party, and those present at the conference, "the existence of two lists," noting that "the context is the nomination of a single list of the Shura Council selected by members of the General Conference."
However, the member did not deny "the existence of different wings and blocs within the party, sometimes expressed in the first list and the second, and so on." He denied rumors that "three lobbies competed to influence the vote of the party conference, a group of preachers of the Maliki, the Karbala Forum of the former leadership, and the former preachers, It was weak.
