MP Riad al-Tamimi, on Tuesday, the federal government to open an investigation to find out the reasons for delaying the submission of the budget to the Diyala Council by the provincial government for approval.
"The Diyala government is still delaying sending the budget of 2019 to the provincial council for a while for vague reasons, despite the Council's request to send it more than once," noting that "delaying the sending of the budget has negative effects on the reality of the province Service, especially since this year is nearing completion. "
He added that "the administration of the Diyala government has raised projects worth 125 billion dinars to the Ministry of Planning directly without the knowledge of the provincial council, and this is contrary to the law," stressing that "the federal government to open an extensive investigation to know the hidden delay of sending the budget and take the necessary action."
Al-Tamimi pointed out that "it supports the measures of the Diyala Provincial Council on the budget to ensure the ratification quickly and distributed to the areas of the province according to population density within the law of the general budget."
