The Speaker of the Parliament, Mohamed Halabousi, discussed with the Chairman and members of the Independent High Electoral Commission the readiness to hold the upcoming provincial elections.
"The Speaker of the Parliament, received today, the President and members of the Independent High Electoral Commission, and during the meeting discuss the readiness of the Commission to hold the upcoming provincial elections, and the need to provide the requirements for the success of the electoral process in the country, and overcome past problems and ensure the participation of all."
"The meeting discussed the importance of continuing to update the voter register and biometric registration, and discussed the rates of completion of the distribution of biometric card at the level of the province and registration centers and Iraq, and examined the file audit audit register of Kirkuk province according to article 35 of the provincial elections and provincial law No. (12) 2018.
