The value of foreign currency sales in the auction on Tuesday rose to 160.71 million dollars, compared with Monday's sales of 159.9 million dollars, with a growth of 1.52 million dollars, according to Central Bank of Iraq data.
The exchange rate was 1190 dinars per dollar, according to the central bank data, at the auction held with the participation of 31 banks, in addition to one financial transfer company.
The Central Bank said that the sales executed are results on Wednesday, indicating that the total sales totaled 185.91 million dollars.
He explained that the volume of funds sold to strengthen the bank balances abroad amounted to 160.23 million dollars, while the total cash sold amounted to 480 thousand dollars.
