Britain sends third warship to Gulf
The British Ministry of Defense said that [size=13]Britain send a third warship to the Gulf, the , adding that the move had nothing to do with Iran's current crisis.
The Duncan, a 45th class frigate, will be sent to the area to ensure the continued presence of British naval security while the Montrose, a Class 23 frigate, is undergoing pre-planned maintenance, the ministry said.
Later in the year, the Kent ship, a Class 23 frigate, will be sent to the region instead of the Duncan.
She said the supply ship and Knight will be sent to the Gulf in early August.
"These long-planned moves do not reflect a strengthening of the UK's regional presence, which is routine," the ministry said.
