    Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi and British Ambassador John Wilkes, stressed the need to reduce the escalation and not drag the region into a dispute affecting international navigation.
    The Information Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a press statement: "Halbusi received Wilix today, and discussed with him the activation of the efforts of the international community and donor countries, including Britain, for reconstruction and investment, and work on strategic projects within the British facilities provided to the Iraqi government and the need to address bureaucracy and administrative corruption, These projects, work to complete the requirements of the return of the displaced to their homes, and stability, and the emphasis on continued joint cooperation to eliminate the cells of the organization calling for the terrorist.
    He added: "The two sides stressed the importance of the adoption of the draft law of the first amendment to the law of provincial elections not organized in the territory and districts of its No. 12 of 2018 and the holding of elections."
    "The Halbusi and Wilkes stressed the need to reduce the escalation and not drag the region into a conflict that affects the security of international navigation and stop it, and all work to calm and defuse the crisis to avoid any steps that will lead in the future to further tension."
    Wilix expressed his admiration for the high national spirit of all the Iraqi people and their willingness to go ahead with the national project with a joint Iraqi national vision, which requires additional efforts by the political forces to succeed and achieve results on the ground.
    The British ambassador stressed the continuation of his country in cooperation with Iraq in all fields, including security and economic, stressing "the need to support investment and investors, and provide a suitable environment for them, and the protection of investment companies, including oil."
