(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The parliamentary Finance Committee replied on Saturday to the news that the media reported on the further reduction of salaries of employees.
Committee member Shirwan Mirza said in a press statement that the news circulated by some local media about increasing the salaries of employees and reducing the allocations of others is incorrect, pointing out that the House of Representatives conducted the first and second reading of the Civil Service Law.
Mirza added that the law did not address the increase or reduction of salaries of employees, noting that, the law gives the authority to the federal government to pay special allowances for employees who have a few salaries.
