Baghdad / National Information Center (NNC)
A member of the parliamentary security and defense committee on the wisdom movement, Abbas Sarut, said on Tuesday that the order of the Minister of Defense to disengage the security department and linking it to the security directorate "is not true."
"Separation of security from military intelligence may leak information about military equipment and preparing military personnel," Srout told the NRC.
"We think this is not true," he said.
Defense Minister Najah al-Shammari has issued ministerial orders to disengage the security / military intelligence division and re-link him to the security department.
The order issued, according to the document received by the National Expert Center, contains a copy of it, "Disconnecting (the security department / Directorate of Military Intelligence) from the Directorate above, and re-linking to the Directorate of Security / Directorate General of Intelligence and Security."
The order included "the transfer of all officers and officers of the (Security Department) from the Directorate of Military Intelligence to the Security Directorate / Directorate General of Intelligence and Security."
"All equipment and supplies of the security department shall be transferred from the Directorate of Military Intelligence to the Security Directorate / Directorate General of Intelligence and Security."
