The Integrity Commission revealed on Thursday that it had been able to seize cars to be smuggled into iron containers, in addition to cars of different types and models abandoned for years in the northern port of Umm Qasr and the port of Safwan.
According to a statement received by Al-Mawlama, a copy of which was sent to the port of Umm Qasr al-Shamali, it was able to seize (16) Toyota Crowns without a model to be smuggled in iron containers in a port berth. "They were entered by means of billboards as new tires, as cars were hidden in containers behind the tires."
The statement pointed out that "the tanks of the Directorate, which moved to the port of Safwan border, the seizure of (52) cars of different types and models left in the port," noting that "these cars have been abandoned since 2006 without any formal action on them."
She confirmed that "two seizure procedures were organized in the two operations, which were carried out on the basis of two judicial control memoranda, and presented them to the investigating judge concerned with the integrity issues in Basra; Ending / 25
