Direct: Investors see a 100 percent probability that the Fed will cut US interest rates in September.
The US central bank cut interest rates for the first time in 10 years last month by a quarter percentage point to a level between 2 percent to 2.25 percent.
There is an 83.5 percent chance that the central bank will cut interest rates at the next meeting by about 25 basis points, according to the CME index, which follows the Fed's futures trading on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Fed is 16.5 percent likely to cut rates by half a percentage point at next month's meeting.
The interest rate cuts come amid growing trade tensions between China and the United States recently after China decided to stop importing agricultural products from Washington on the back of the latter's intention to impose tariffs on other Chinese imports early next month.
