Minister of Agriculture: We are committed to stop the termination of agricultural contracts in accordance with the budget law

Minister of Agriculture Saleh al-Hassani said on Monday that the ministry is committed to stop the termination of agricultural contracts in accordance with the budget law.
Al-Hassani said in a statement received by the Economy News that the ministry is committed to implementing Article 60 of the Federal Budget Law No. (1) of 2019 to stop the termination of agricultural contracts in the areas (Baghdad, northern Babylon, Salah al-Din, Anbar, Nineveh and Diyala). ".
Hassani added that "the ministry directed all directorates of agriculture in the liberated provinces since 2016 to stop the cancellation of contracts until the stability of security conditions based on the text of the said law."
"The ministry continues to provide the farmers with the necessary support and overcome the obstacles they face in order to establish agricultural and plant projects in order to improve the agricultural sector in the country, to achieve self-sufficiency in crops and agricultural products, to ensure food security for the citizen and to support the national economy," he said.
Hassani added that "the ministry directed all directorates of agriculture in the liberated provinces since 2016 to stop the cancellation of contracts until the stability of security conditions based on the text of the said law."
"The ministry continues to provide the farmers with the necessary support and overcome the obstacles they face in order to establish agricultural and plant projects in order to improve the agricultural sector in the country, to achieve self-sufficiency in crops and agricultural products, to ensure food security for the citizen and to support the national economy," he said.
