A parliamentarian sought to collect signatures to amend the electoral law
The parliamentary legal committee confirmed that it is intent on collecting the [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/131774/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%88%D8%A7%D9%82%D9%8A%D8%B9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A9]signatures[/url] to amend the local elections law at the beginning of the third legislative term of the House of Representatives.
The committee member Hussein al-Oqabi: The local elections law passed paragraphs contrary to the law because of political pressure, pointing to: The paragraph to check the voter register in December next year is the most prominent irregularities. Al-Oqabi added: that St. Lego 1.9 made the election law a place for the acquisition of large blocks on the provincial councils.
