Saleh, in a speech at the Baghdad Regional Forum for the Development of Institutional Mechanisms for the Advancement of Women, held at the Al-Rasheed Hotel in Baghdad on Sunday and delivered by the Vice President of the Presidency of the Council of Advisors, Ali Al-Shukri, stressed that the legislation of the law is the basic building block for the real care and protection of women's affairs. He pointed out that the Presidency of the Republic has worked since the first day to give practical tasks to support every effort to promote women's rights and ensure effective participation of women in the system of government and decision-making in the belief that real building of the state can not be achieved and all of them are excluded from the decision-making system.
Ali Shukri conveyed the President's greetings and wishes for the success of the Forum and come up with practical ideas and decisions that serve women's issues and complement previous efforts to establish an independent national institution that looks after women. And exclusion.
The Forum is organized by the Iraqi Hope Society, the Iraqi Women's Network, the Women's Empowerment Department of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Supreme Council for Women's Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government, with the support of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) and the participation of nine Arab countries, women's agencies and associations and the Dutch Embassy in Iraq.
The forum, which was attended by Chancellor of the Republic of the Republic Khanem Latif, senior state officials, representatives of women's and civic organizations and a number of representatives of diplomatic missions in Baghdad, also seeks to integrate women in national and strategic policies and budgeting and to consider women as a key and effective force in leading society to resolve conflicts and achieve security and peace Justice, as well as enhancing their participation in the sustainable development process.
