World - Asia and the Pacific
"We call on North Korea to engage in serious negotiations with the United States as agreed between President (Donald) Trump and (North Korean leader) Kim Jong-un on June 30," the three countries said in a joint statement.
"We reaffirm our condemnation of the repeated provocative launches that violate Security Council resolutions."
On Saturday, North Korea fired two unidentified projectiles from its east coast towards the East Sea, the fifth in August alone and the ninth since the beginning of this year.
North Korea is subject to a series of economic, commercial and military sanctions under 10 Security Council resolutions since 2006 over its ballistic and nuclear missile programs.
