    The Department of Antiquities of Babylon announced the allocation of 250 billion within the five-year plan for the development and rehabilitation of the archaeological city, and while the provincial council has allocated 120 billion during the years 2019 and 2020 for the same workers, the effects of experts pointed to the existence of five-year plans for five archaeological sites scattered in southern Iraq .

    Talib Obeid Nassar, chairman of the Tourism and Antiquities Committee in the Babil Provincial Council, said that the governorate has allocated 120 billion dinars in 2019 and 2020 for the development of the ancient city of Babylon.
