BAGHDAD: The Iraqi ambassador to Jakarta Abdullah Hassan Saleh on Monday discussed with the Indonesian deputy speaker ways of developing bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement received by the agency (Euphrates News) a copy, that "the ambassador met with the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament Fazli Zun, at the seat of the Indonesian Parliament on the occasion of the near completion of his duties as Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Indonesia."
The Iraqi ambassador expressed his "happiness to work in the Republic of Indonesia," and reviewed "the political and economic situation in Iraq and the victories achieved by our armed forces of all kinds over the terrorist gangs of ISIS."
The statement pointed out that "the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament handed the Iraqi ambassador an official invitation to Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halbousi, to participate in the Third World Parliamentary Forum for Sustainable Development."
