Seizure of containers of medicines and food violated in the northern port of Umm Qasr

The Investigation Department of the Integrity Commission revealed on Wednesday that the transactions of a number of containers loaded with medicines taken out of [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/132140/%D9%85%D9%8A%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%A1 %D8%A3%D9%85%D9%91%D9%90 %D9%82%D8%B5%D8%B1][size=13]the[/url] northern [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/132140/%D9%85%D9%8A%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%A1 %D8%A3%D9%85%D9%91%D9%90 %D9%82%D8%B5%D8%B1]port of Umm Qasr were[/url] seized despite the absence of an import license.
A statement by the Authority, that "the staff of the Directorate of Investigation of Basra, which moved to the port, the process of seizing (6) transactions of the drug (8) containers of medicines were taken out of the port without an import license," indicating that "preliminary investigations carried out by the Directorate showed that the disclosure Attributed to the Committee of the Office of the South Customs - the State Company for the marketing of medicines and medical supplies is fraudulent, and has nothing to do with the Committee.
In a separate operation, the department confirmed that “a team from Basra Investigation Directorate was able to seize a fridge loaded with meat in [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/132140/%D9%85%D9%8A%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%A1 %D8%A3%D9%85%D9%91%D9%90 %D9%82%D8%B5%D8%B1]the[/url] northern [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/132140/%D9%85%D9%8A%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%A1 %D8%A3%D9%85%D9%91%D9%90 %D9%82%D8%B5%D8%B1]port of Umm Qasr[/url] , pointing out that it was introduced without an import license and in violation of the law”.
She added that "the records of the seizure of fundamentalist seizures in the two operations carried out on the basis of two warrants of arrest, and presented to the investigative judge concerned with integrity issues in Basra; to take appropriate legal action."
