International Energy: Saudi Arabia retreat from the top oil exporting countries

LONDON (Reuters) - Global oil demand is facing adverse economic factors, supported by lower prices due to abundant supplies as the United States briefly outperformed Saudi Arabia as the world's top oil exporter, the International Energy Agency said on Thursday.
"With oil prices currently down about 20 percent from a year ago, consumers will receive support," the IEA said in its monthly report.
“The boom in shale production allowed the United States to come close, and briefly outperform Saudi Arabia as the world's largest oil exporter… in June, after crude exports rose above three million barrels per day,” it said. Done / 25
