A new German study shows that the level of plastic in the bloodstream of children has reached unprecedented levels, which exposes them to serious health disorders later.
Plastic is not only present in most of the things that people use in their daily lives, but also inside their body, according to the study issued by the German Ministry of Environment.
The study carried out a biological monitoring process, looking for any plastic components in the bodies of children between the ages of three and seventeen years old.
More than 11 of the 15 basic and common plastic components in the bloodstream were found in more than 97 percent of the children who participated in the study.
These plastic components come from cleaning products, water proof clothing, food packaging and cooking utensils that often come in direct contact with our bodies.
While some of these plastic products may not have a direct impact on children's health, C-8, manufactured in pots and water-proof clothing, can cause many diseases.
Scientists agreed that "C8" leads to cancer, organic damage and growth problems, especially when exposed to children at high levels.
The study confirms that all children are affected by these substances, but the incidence rates rise in children from poor classes.
Despite these findings, studies on the impact of plastics on children's health and development are still in their infancy
