Al-Jubouri: The Bar Association must be involved in Iraqi legislation
The head of the parliamentary Finance Committee Haitham al-Jubouri, on Monday, the need to involve the Bar Association in Iraqi legislation to ensure the safety and sobriety of those legislation.
Al-Jubouri said in a statement, "We are honored today to visit the Iraqi Bar Association to open the doors of communication and participate in the legislation of important Iraqi laws enacted by the House of Representatives."
He called for "to involve the union with the investigative committees formed by the Council, especially with regard to Iraqi funds frozen abroad and the collection of government debt."
Al-Jubouri called for the union to be an example of Iraqi unity and the need to maintain its professionalism, neutrality and its history rooted in the history of the Iraqi state.
He pointed to "discuss the immunity of the lawyer as a standing judiciary and provide social and health care for him and his family with the strengthening of this profession and the development of its cadres."
