President Barham Salih said Wednesday that Iraq is on the verge of significant positive developments, while noting that targeting the security of the Gulf and Saudi Arabia is a dangerous development.
In a speech to the UN General Assembly, Saleh said that "history will record that Iraqis have achieved their unity and solid will and the great role of religious authority from overthrowing the Takfiri project to organize and protect the world from ISIS."
He added, "Iraq is on the verge of important positive developments, security, political and economic, there is a positive turn of the shifts, and we must evaluate these positive developments and be based on in the light of the security stability, there is even now" The federal government and the KRG on the basis of the constitution and the role of the UN representative in Baghdad are important in this regard.
