Several delegations left the UN General Assembly Hall on Friday in a speech by Venezuela's Vice President Delsey Rodriguez, according to TASS news agency.
At least eight delegations had left the meeting room, particularly representatives of the United States and Colombia.
Before leaving the room, one American diplomat tilted his chair in a show and assigned him to the table. The Colombian delegation included representatives of the Venezuelan opposition, who shouted as they left the hall in the name of their leader, Juan Guido.
European diplomats remained in the room, while representatives from several Latin American countries, with the exception of Cuba, Mexico and Uruguay, left, the agency said.
According to her, the situation was engulfed 30 minutes before Rodriguez's speech, at the United Nations Headquarters markedly on the press terrace, where security was greatly enhanced, and journalists were asked to move from the front to back.
The guards, who numbered about 20, explained these measures to prevent provocations
