Syrian air defenses confronted enemy aircraft in the vicinity of the Syrian-Iraqi crossing point (Albukamal / Al-Qaim) south of the Euphrates River in the far east of the country.

The war media unit of the Lebanese Hezbollah announced on the ninth of this month that "Israel bombed a camp of the Syrian army under construction in the Albukamal area of eastern Syria without causing casualties."
"The enemy targeted a camp under construction for the Syrian army and its allies to house the soldiers away from civilian houses. The building was empty at the time of the attack and there were no casualties, contrary to what the enemy media promoted," the military media unit said, citing a security source in Syria.
The private sources reported on the 17th of this month that the aircraft of the American coalition launched four raids on the area of Albukamal border crossing between Syria and Iraq, targeting several points belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces.
The sources pointed out that "the US raids targeted the village" Heri "north of the border crossing, which is about 5 kilometers from Iraqi territory east of Albukamal and inhabited by Syrian citizens of the Dulaim tribe, pointing to the closure of the border crossing between the two countries after the series of raids.
Al-Bukamal-Qaim crossing was closed in 2014 as ISIS took control of the Iraqi city of Qaim.
