    Iraqis demonstrate in Baghdad

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - About 100 people, mostly demonstrators, have been killed and some 4,000 wounded since protests began in Iraq on Tuesday, the latest toll released by the government's Human Rights Commission said on Saturday.
The UNHCR said the death toll had reached 93, with 3,978 injured and 567 demonstrators arrested, about half of whom were later released.
Medical sources said that most of the demonstrators were shot dead, noting that six policemen were killed in these anti-government demonstrations in Baghdad and several areas in the south of the country.

Dozens killed and calls for early elections

This comes as the authorities lifted the curfew imposed a few days ago in Baghdad and challenged by protesters.
Traffic has returned to normal in the capital and the streets and main squares are quiet. Concrete barriers are closing areas where thousands of protesters have gathered in recent days.
On Saturday morning, shops opened after the curfew imposed on Thursday ended. But the Internet is still cut off.
The protest began with calls on social media to demonstrate against corruption and unemployment, the collapse of public services and chronic shortages of electricity and drinking water.
