The parliamentary bloc of change warned on Saturday of further inflaming the situation in Iraq, accusing successive authoritarian elites in the country of corruption.
A statement issued by the parliamentary bloc of change that "the demonstrations carried out by unarmed citizens in Iraq, is the result of the accumulation of years of wasting hundreds of billions of Iraq's wealth because of the corruption of the authoritarian successive elites, and the lack of basic services, unemployment and deprivation, and weaken citizens' confidence in the democratic process due to fraud General and local elections. ”
“We in the parliamentary change bloc support the legitimate demands of the demonstrators and strongly condemn the use of live bullets to confront them. Prepare an actual and urgent project for reform and necessary ministerial changes as soon as possible for approval in the House of Representatives. ”
The statement continued, “We reaffirm our full support for radical reform in Iraq, and we believe that reform in Iraq encourages reform in the region as well, and in this context we see that the House of Representatives without a project and a clear road map for change and radical reform does not lead to the solution of problems and can fuel the situation more and more".
