    Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati announced the import of 10,000 barrels of oil a day from Iraq, while noting that the next step will see the start of a pipeline from Basra to the port of Aqaba with a length of 1700 km and a period of work up to four years.

    Zawati said in press statements and followed by "Ultra Iraq", "Jordan since last month began to buy Iraqi oil at the price of Brent and minus the cost of transport and specifications for that oil," noting that "her country has signed an agreement with Iraq to invest in the purchase of that oil in the coming period."

    She added that "the next step will see the start of a pipeline from Basra to the port of Aqaba with a length of 1700 km and a period of work up to four years will extend through Haditha to the port of Aqaba to be a guarantor to export Iraqi oil to some countries through that port with the possibility of Jordan to buy the amount of oil scheduled Exports amounting to one million barrels per day, and then the government of Oman can buy 150 thousand barrels of them to meet their needs. "
    The estimated value of the oil pipeline project between Jordan and Iraq is $ 18 billion, according to the Iraqi Minister of Industry, the pipeline linking Basra through Anbar to the port of Aqaba in Jordan.
