    Norwegian Prime Minister arrives in Baghdad

    Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg arrived Monday morning on an official visit to Baghdad, an informed Iraqi diplomatic source said.
    The source told Shafaq News that Solberg will deliver her Iraqi counterpart Adel Abdul Mahdi, and a number of officials to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

    Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg arrived in Baghdad on Monday.


    "Abdul-Mahdi received Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg as soon as she arrived in Baghdad," Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi's office said in a statement received by Alsumaria News.
     
    "The two sides will discuss bilateral relations and political and security developments in Iraq and the region," the source said.

    BAGHDAD: Iraq needs international support against terrorism, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said.
    "Victory over terrorism has prevented the movement of terrorist groups from the region to the rest of the world," Abdul-Mahdi told a news conference with his Norwegian counterpart, Arna Solberg.
    "Iraq needs support in the face of terrorism and cooperation in its strategic relations to preserve the sovereignty and independence of states," he said.
    For her part, stressed the Prime Minister of Norway commitment to partnership with Iraq in the fight against terrorism.
    "We discussed solutions to end the conflict in Syria and the region," she said.
    "Peace and justice are the foundation of the country's social and economic development," she said
